- The drum & bass duo will release their second album together on Virus in June.
Optiv & BTK will release Blackjack on June 16th.
Blackjack follows 2012's collaborative album Dirty Tricks, and it'll see the two producers (Optiv from the UK, BTK a Brazilian living in Switzerland) return to drum & bass institution Virus Recordings once again. Said to take influence from techno and electro, the LP is definitely on the darker side of the genre, with a press release describing the music as "in-your-face" and "a menacing underworld where the stuff of nightmares comes alive." It features three collaborations with Hungarian producer Mindscape, an appearance from Black Sun Empire and vocal contributions from Ryme Tyme and Nuklear MC.
