  • Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice and Chris Liebing will play at this year's Welcome To The Future near Amsterdam. Welcome To The Future began in the '90s as a party at local club Paradiso. In the years since, it has grown to become a large-scale, annual outdoor event. Music-wise, the focus is squarely on house and techno, with fans of big room and more niche sounds both catered to. Alongside Villalobos, Dice and Liebing this year, you'll find festival favourites like Scuba, Butch and Mathias Kaden, plus Martin Buttrich, Matthias Tanzmann and Davide Squillace, who'll be spinning together as Better Lost Than Stupid. More techno will be served up by Tommy Four Seven, Rødhåd and Function, while lives sets will come from Mathew Jonson and Planetary Assault Systems. Local acts include Tom Trago, Makam and Cinnaman. Welcome To The Future will take place on July 26th. It's one of top 10 greenest festivals in the world, so sustainability is one of the event's key features—stages are constructed out of recycled materials, all the food is organic and the main generators are partly run on waste vegetable oil. All the action will go down at the Het Twiske parklands just north of Amsterdam.
