  • Charades and EK Collective have announced a new Saturday night party in Sydney's inner-west. The two local crews have joined forces to organise Speakeasy, a monthly house and techno event at the Imperial Hotel in Erskineville. The pub is one of Sydney's few music venues outside the 1:30 AM CBD lockout zone with a 24-hour license, and the party looks to offer an alternative to late night dancers. The launch will see two Adelaide acts—The Carter Bros and Untzz Twelve Inch boss HVCK—both flying up for the occasion, with support coming from Hamish Radford, U-Khan, Pharley and EK. Next month's gig will be headlined by Detroit expat Recloose, with Mad Racketeer Ken Cloud also featuring on the bill. Speakeasy kicks off at 10 PM on May 17th at the Imperial Hotel.
