- Archives Intérieures has linked up with John Elliott for a CD release of the 2011 album.
John Elliott's 2011 LP The Path Of Spectrolite, produced by way of his Imaginary Softwoods alias, will see new life on Archives Intérieures next month.
A prolific synth-loving producer from Cleveland, Elliott has been involved in a range of projects (and dozens of releases) over the years. He's a former member of Emeralds, and he's the founder of Outer Space, now a two-way collaboration with Andrew Veres (they just dropped a new EP called Phantom Center on Editions Mego). He's also the mind behind the Editions Mego subsidiary Spectrum Spools.
One of Elliott's other pursuits has been Imaginary Softwoods. The Path Of Spectrolite originally came out in 2011 through Amethyst Sunset on a couple different-colored runs of vinyl, and the connection with Peter Van Hoesen and Yves De Mey's Archives Intérieures imprint will result in its first CD edition. Its the third release overall for the label, after the experimental techno explorations of De Mey's Frisson EP and A Smaller Divide, the album from his and Van Hoesen's Sendai project. Like those it'll only be available on CD.
