Shifted will release a new EP under his Covered In Sand alias next month.
The UK producer operates at the noisier end of techno already, but Covered In Sand plays up that aspect of his sound even further. While the atmosphere of Shifted's music remains intact, the beats (or lack thereof) make Covered In Sand a more experimental affair. The label describes the three cuts on Crescent Shaped Scars as "abrasive noise workouts," and the creepy cover (designed by Juan Mendez, AKA Silent Servant) should give some idea of what's in store. Mira, an imprint of Shifted and Ventress' Avian label, is handling the release.
