- The Los Angeles producer's debut album, which features a collaboration with Dro Carey, lands on Software next month.
Napolian will release his first album, Incursio, in May.
The Los Angeles producer born Ian Evans doesn't have many records to his name yet, but what he's put out has piqued plenty of interest in hip-hop circles and beyond. His track "Guns & Synths" kicked off Kelela's recent Cut 4 Me mixtape on Fade To Mind, and he leant his production chops to A$AP Ferg's album Trap Lord. Software Records, the Brooklyn-based label curated by Oneohtrix Point Never, gave Evans his first solo release back in 2012, and they're handling this release as well. Though the album is described as "an instrumental beats record," the label promises "no break record samples, no dust, no crates." Fellow traveler Dro Carey features, as do Garfield and Dezo. Have a listen to the album cut "DARPA" below.
