  • Rabit is the guest of honour at PDneXt on May 7th. Eric Burton was profiled in Angus Finlayson's 2013 RA feature Grime 2013, which should give you a pretty good idea of his sound—deconstructed grime in the vein of peers like Logos and Jam City. Finlayson also described last year's Sun Showers EP as "[burrowing] deep into the style's icy core." Rabit's a little bit different from his peers, however: he hails from Houston, Texas, rather than the UK, and as such most of his gigs have taken place stateside (including our own showcase at SXSW this year). The next stop is Portland, where he'll headline the bimonthly bass-centric party PDneXt party alongside local guest Nom Sayin. As usual, it'll go down at Holocene and feature residents Graintable, Danny Corn and Plumblyne. You can stream and download Rabit's collaborative track with Mumdance from this year's free Boxed compilation below.
