  • Pantha Du Prince has announced a US live tour for early May—his only stateside dates of the year. The shows are billed as Pantha Du Prince Presents The Triad, and they'll see Hendrik Weber performing with two other artists: NYC-based guitarist Scott Mou, a longtime collaborator who put out an album on Dial last year under the name Queens, and Norwegian drummer Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg. Concertgoers can expect to hear new Pantha Du Prince material, "some of which will end up on the new album he’s currently working on," according to a press release. (Weber has been doing that during an artist residency at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles.) In all, seven dates are confirmed, and all will feature sets from Mou as Queens. Five are bookings on the West Coast, and the tour will start on Thursday the 1st with a three-night run of California shows in San Diego, LA and San Francisco. Weber and company will then play four events across four consecutive nights the following week, with Portland and Seattle leading to Chicago and finally New York on Friday the 9th. While Mou will handle opening duties at the first six shows, that one in New York—a FIXED event at Le Poisson Rouge—also has FIXED duo JDH & Dave P on hand to start the night.
