- A crack team of producers have refixed the Dirtybird chief's third studio album, including Jimmy Edgar, Dixon and Photek.
Claude VonStroke will release a remix package called Urban Animal RMXS through Dirtybird in May.
The US producer's third LP, Urban Animal, hit the shelves in September (reviewed here by Matt Unicomb.) In the months that followed, VonStroke assembled a crew of his favourite artists, asking each of them to offer their own interpretations. The end result is a melting pot of sounds and styles, moving through house (Solomun, Tanner Ross), techno (Jimmy Edgar, Dixon), drum & bass (Photek, Krust) and low-slung "future hip-hop" (Eeprom.) "The Clapping Track", arguably the album's best-known cut, is given the once-over by UK partystarter Doorly, while VonStroke himself also features as a remixer, turning out a club-ready edit of "Can't Wait."
