- The Brooklyn artist will release his first album through Brainfeeder in June.
Taylor McFerrin will release Early Riser on June 2nd.
The son of Bobby McFerrin (of "Don't Worry Be Happy" fame), the Brooklyn-based artist is a producer, DJ, piano player and composer with just a few releases under his belt. Early Riser will be his first full-length, and comes on LA's Brainfeeder, also home to Thundercat and Ryat, both of whom contribute to the record. Apparently influenced by classic soul music, "golden era" hip-hop, experimental jazz and electronic music, the debut has quite a collection of collaborators, including Hiatus Kaiyote member Nai Palm, Emily King, Robert Glasper and McFerrin's father.
The label says the album "seamlessly bridges myriad musical worlds." You can stream "The Antidote" below.Tracklist
