- The underground Vancouver party has released its first 12-inch.
- Vancouver promoters It's Your Turn have started a new record label. It's Your Turn began last year as another entrant in the increasingly busy Vancouver underground party and afterhours scene. So far their events have kept the spotlight mainly on local talent (though they did book Toronto's Kevin McPhee), and now the crew have made the jump into vinyl releases. The first single focuses on the It's Your Turn residents, with one side from Combine (the duo of Zachary Treble and Hunter Cheveldave) and the other from Todd Douglas, AKA TS—and both are firmly in the techno camp. The sleeve artwork was designed by Toronto's David Patterson, while the music was mastered by Donato Dozzy associate Neel. The first 25 records sold come with an event poster, and otherwise the pressing run is limited to 100 copies. The 12-inch's release coincides with the party's fifth edition (and first anniversary), which will go down at a secret location in Vancouver on April 26th.
