- The Hot Chip man's second solo LP will hit the shelves via Domino in June.
Alexis Taylor has revealed details of his second solo album, Await Barbarians.
Best known as a member of pop-indie outfit Hot Chip, Taylor first connected with Domino in 2012, putting out the Nayim From The Halfway Line EP. Playing and recording all the instruments himself, bar the strings, Await Barbarians captures the more reflective and emotional sides to Taylor's personality. "Rich in insight and profound in feeling," according to the press release, Taylor continues his exploration of "warm and homely" pop music, exemplified by "Elvis Has Left The Building," which you can stream below.
Await Barbarians will be available digitally, on CD and vinyl. Selected retailers will also offer a bonus 7-inch single with the LP. To promote the record, Taylor will embark on a summer tour of the UK, including shows in London (The Vortex), Glasgow (The Wee Chilli) and Leeds (The Brudenell).
