  • François K's Deep Space weekly will turn eleven at Manhattan club Cielo on Monday, April 14th. As the name implies, Deep Space focuses on the deep and dubby side of dance music, and over the years it's helped kick off each week with Monday-night appearances from a broad range of international talent, including Donato Dozzy, Mary Anne Hobbs, Theo Parrish and Joy Orbison. Hotflush boss Scuba is one of the night's many repeat guests—in fact, he played the tenth anniversary in 2013, and he's once again been tapped to join François K for this year's bash. A few other artists are also confirmed to play Deep Space this month. Next Monday, with François K absent, the decks will be controlled by Berlin-based dub techno veteran Deadbeat and Bryan Kasenic, who runs his own long-running series over in Brooklyn, The Bunker. Then on the 21st, Mr. K will be joined by Kahn, a Bristol DJ, member of the Young Echo collective (who last year took part in our Playing Favourites feature) and founder of the Bandulu Records imprint. Tickets to Deep Space are available here on RA.
