Nicky Siano has released a documentary called Love Is The Message: A Night At The Gallery.
The film, directed by Jim Bidgood, captures rare footage from a night at The Gallery in 1977. Alongside The Loft and Paradise Garage, Siano's Manhattan club was central to the rise of disco in the 1970s. "I feel as if I have worked my entire career for this moment," says Siano, who features in the film alongside The Loft founder David Mancuso and Frankie Knuckles.
The film has seemingly been floating around for a few years—a launch party was held in London as far back as 2010—but this week it was officially released as a double-DVD package. You can watch a trailer for Love Is The Message: A Night At The Gallery below:
