- The two Australian producers have joined forces to start a new label.
Mic Newman and Francis Inferno Orchestra have announced a new vinyl-only label called Superconscious Records.
The two producers hail from Melbourne, Australia, but are currently based in London. They've both been putting out records for a few years now—Newman has appeared on Let's Play House, Tsuba and Dirt Crew under his real name and as Fantastic Man, while Francis Inferno Orchestra recently revealed plans to release an album via Voyeurhythm.
The label's first release is a four-track EP from Imhotep, AKA Zac Segbedz. Taking its stylistic cues from classic Detroit and Chicago house, Funky Wet Sphynx will see release on May 5th. In the meantime you can listen to brief snippets over on Juno's website. The first 300 copies of Funky Wet Sphynx come with a poster.
