  • Emerging Ibiza, a new platform for discovering up-and-coming talent, will launch this summer. The premise is simple: 11 industry experts each choose three artists as participants in Emerging Ibiza 2014. The experts and chosen artists will then play the EI Break-Thru Festival, which will run across various island venues from May 27th through 31st. In the run-up to the event, the public will decide on the billing for the festival by showing their support for their favourite acts (via a combination of likes, shares, page views and streams.) Based on their festival sets and online presence, the eight most popular participants will be rewarded with residencies at clubs across Ibiza from June through September (full details are still TBA.) This year's experts are Steve Lawler, Yousef, Shaun Reeves, Lee Curtiss, Audiofly, Chris Bones, Renato Ratier, Nick Curly, Ushuaia director Yann Pissenem and IMS partners Danny Whittle and Ben Turner. Confirmed participants include The Mekanism, Bella Sarris, Mark Jenkyns, Detlef and island favourite Andy Baxter. The EI Festival will feature nine parties across five days, including the opening of Zoo Project, Mental Genius at Sankeys and a closing event at Ushuaia Tower. For more information check out the official website. Tickets to Emerging Ibiza Break-Thru Festival are available here on RA.
