- The New Jersey producer will release his second album for L.I.E.S. this April.
Jorge Velez will return to L.I.E.S. in April with a new album called Territories.
It'll be the New Jersey producer's second album for Ron Morelli's label, following 2012's Cult Of Assassins-inspired Hassan LP. This one, which has been produced under his given name Jorge Velez, is described in a press release as a combination of "menacing drones, EBM influenced floor tracks [and] Sakamoto-esque melodic experiments," with nods to labels like Mute, Factory, Cherry Red and Fetish Records.
The album will kickstart a busy run of releases for Velez, who has EPs coming under his real name for Rush Hour, Crème Organization and Skudge White, as well as his final release as Professor Genius on Borneo. You can listen to one of the album's cuts, "Venas," via the SoundCloud player below:
