  • Bass Clef will continue his busy 2014 with an album release on Mordant Music. The UK's Ralph Cumbers is having a prolific start to the year—not only did his Acid Tracts cassette get a vinyl reissue on Alter, but he's also lined up new EPs for PAN and Public Information. Some Friends I Lost To Bedlam, Others I Abandoned There comes under the more abstract Some Truths alias, which he has previously used for a handful of self-released cassettes focusing on his modular synth experiments. Bedlam is sourced from the same sessions that birthed the upcoming Bugbranded EP on Public Information, and sees Cumbers striking a halfway point between his recent dance-oriented numbers and more outré experiments. It'll be his first release for Mordant Music, and the typically zany press release describes it as "asylum limbo, psychotic sock draw and raving halfway-house." Tracklist 01. Too Much Bone In Your Skull 02. Quaalude And Fugue State 03. The Magpie On The Gallows 04. Music For Trepanning 05. Section 12(2) 06. Acid And Prozac 07. What Fresh Hell Is This? Mordant Music will release Some Friends I Lost To Bedlam, Others I Abandoned There on April 7th, 2014.
