  • Dubspot is setting up shop on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The music production school started in New York in 2006, and over the years expanded from one classroom to six kitted-out spaces on W. 14th Street in Manhattan. In 2011, they also introduced online courses, and their YouTube channel has become a known resource for production tips and masterclasses from the likes of Untold. The school counts producers like Raz Mesinai (AKA Badawi), John Selway and Abe Duque amongst its faculty. Their LA location is set to open in June, and it'll feature the same sort of curriculum found at their New York location, with courses covering DJing, Ableton, Logic and more. Daddy Kev from Low End Theory and Thavius Beck from Plug Research are two of the instructors who have been announced for the school so far, and Dubspot promises more will be announced soon. You can keep tabs on the opening over at DSLA's website.
