  • Skrillex will release his debut album, Recess, on March 17th. Recess was premiered via Skrillex's free app, a video game called "Alien Ride," and is streaming now over at Dazed Digital. It includes guest appearances from Diplo, Ragga Twins, Chance The Rapper and Passion Pit vocalist MIchael Angelakos among others. Skrillex, real name Sonny Moore, is an EDM icon and one of electronic music's most divisive artists. His dubstep-inspired sound struck a massive chord when he first appeared in 2010, with all eight tracks of his debut EP landing in the Beatport Top 10 within one week. Since then he's been a fixture EDM's big league, while receiving passionate disapproval from other corners of electronic music—in 2011, The Guardian called him "the man the underground loves to loathe." Moore appears to acknowledge this kind of controversy with the title of Recess's opening track: "All Is Fair In Love And Brostep." Recess was "conceived and recorded in Los Angeles, Seattle, Seoul, London, Stockholm, San Francisco & Brooklyn," and will be released on Skrillex's label, OWSLA. Tracklist 01. All Is Fair In Love And Brostep feat. Ragga Twins 02. Recess feat. Kill The Noise, Fatman Scoop and Michael Angelakos from Passion Pit 03. Stranger feat.
