  • The lineup for The Port at Bestival, scheduled for September 5th through 7th, is beginning to take shape. The "mind-expanding, oceanic vision" was a kind of festival-within-a-festival at last year's Isle Of Wight blowout, with dance-oriented live acts and DJs playing through Funktion One stacks set around a "landlocked harbour and the good ship HMS Bestival." Organizers Josie and Rob Da Bank are bringing it back for 2014, and they've booked a number of big names from the European festival circuit for its three-day run. Perennial headliner Sven Väth is at the top of the bill on Friday, along with Damian Lazarus, Eats Everything, Boys Noize, South London Ordnance and more. James Blake's 1-800-Dinosaur is one of the big draws for Saturday, with the electronic songwriter DJing alongside associates like Dan Foat and Airhead. Bicep, Richy Ahmed and Krystal Klear are also on the bill for that day. The likes of Âme, Dusky and Dense & Pika are some of the names confirmed for Sunday. The festival says more names for The Port—not to mention for the rest of Bestival—will be announced soon.
