Massive Attack headline Secret Solstice Festival 2014

- The new three-day event will be held around summer solstice in Iceland.
- Massive Attack will headline the first edition of Secret Solstice Festival, taking place in Iceland June 20th through 22nd. As the name suggests, Secret Solstice will be held around summer solstice (this year due June 21st). In Iceland, summer solstice means roughly 72 hours of non-stop sunlight, so festival organisers have enlisted over 100 acts to provide the soundtrack for this time. There's heavy house and techno presence on the lineup announced so far, with house legend Kerri Chandler, Crosstown Rebels founder Damian Lazarus and Detroit export Carl Craig all confirmed. There'll be a hefty batch of bass names, too, in the form of Boddika, Skream and Oneman. All the action is due to go down in Laugardalur Park, an area a few kilometres east of Reykjavik's city centre. There'll be plenty of camping space available, so attendees will be able to stay on-site or in one of the nearby hotels.
