  • Peder Mannerfelt, formerly known as The Subliminal Kid, will release the first album under his own name, Lines Describing Circles next week. A member of duo Roll The Dice and a former collaborator with Fever Ray, the Swedish producer launched the techno-oriented alias The Subliminal Kid almost a decade ago (though his work stretches back another ten years before that). The debut full-length under his given name, however, should be much more abstract—a press release for the record claims Mannerfelt's intent is to "crush the listener into a perfect, metal cube," going on to use phrases like "sub-bass nihilism," "aural mayhem" and "sonic acid rain" to describe the LP's acerbic sonics. It'll come out through American label Digitalis, and it follows this year's Produktion EP. You can stream "Evening Redness In The West" below.
