- William Bennett will release two LPs of remastered and reworked tunes this month.
William Bennett will release two volumes of Cut Hands material through Dirter on February 24th.
The two LPs contain reworked and remastered versions of some of the better-known tracks from Bennett's self-described Afro-noise project—"Madwoman," "Immersion," and "Black Mamba" among them—along with cuts from the CD version of 2011 album Black Mamba and a few previously unheard tracks. Dirter describe these two volumes as "a reclamation of the conscious through 16 pieces, from the opening ceremonial burning rush of "Vaudou Take Me High" to the final in-trancing morbid spell of "Nine-Night.""
It arrives two years on from the first two volumes, which RA's Justin Farrar described as "born of an uncanny mix of meticulousness, austerity and the strictest of parameters." Both LPs will be limited to 750 copies, and will be housed in the vévé artwork from Mimsy DeBlois that has adorned previous Cut Hands records.
