Derrick May billed for Carnevale Transmediale

- The five-day event will hit Milan's Spazio Ansaldo for the first time next month.
- Derrick May and ex-Kraftwerk member Wolfgang Flür will headline the debut edition of Carnavale Transmediale, taking place from Wednesday, March 5th through Sunday, March 9th. Run by experimental Milanese outfit Intellighenzia Electronica, the five-day extravaganza will be split into day and night events. Located within ex-steel factory Spazio Ansaldo, the days will have more of a laid-back festival feel, with free entry, an indoor skate park, film screenings, street-art exhibitions and a food and drink area. Music-wise, the action will be centred around Friday and Saturday nights, with May and Flür headlining the respective events. Joining the latter will be a slew of local, analogue-geared live acts, including F-ring, Tony Light, Riga and Shari Delorian. Both nights will run from 10:30 PM through 4:30 AM.
