- Due out in February, Nicola Cunningham and Karl Skagius's LP on Ominira evokes British horror movie soundtracks.
Gunnar Wendel's Ominira label has revealed details of its first full-length, The Midnight Episode, due out later this month.
The album is the work of Nicola Cunningham and Karl Skagius. The pair have had a couple of releases on Micron Audio and Icasea, but this is their first major project as The Midnight Episode. The record is inspired by British horror films, their terse soundscapes punctuated with vocal snippets clipped from different movies. The label describes it simply as a "late night listening experience." For some more insight into The Midnight Episode, check out a recent mix by the duo via the Soundcloud player below.
Since launching in 2011, Ominira has released a trickle of strange electronic music from the likes of Juniper, Throwing Shade and Kowton, as well as a cassette from Wendel (better known as Kassem Mosse) under his Siege Of Troy alias.
