  • French Fries will release his first LP, Kepler, on February 24th. Real name Valentino Mora, the South American-born Parisian has risen through the ranks of his local scene through a tough and convulsive take on dance music that folds in elements of house, ghettotech and electro. Perhaps best known for 2012's "Yo Vogue" on Dirtybird, he also started his own ClekClekBoom label along with his fellow crew members The Boo and Ministre X, which has been pumping out releases since 2011. His debut album will come through that imprint as well. Presumably named after the NASA vessel currently in orbit (which itself is named in honour of seminal Astronomer Johannes Kepler), judging from sneak peeks like "This Kind Of Setup" and "Forward Action", the record will keep Mora's jittery sound intact while exploring a more science fiction-influenced sound palette.
