- The American techno producer will release his debut album through Drumcode on March 24th.
Dustin Zahn will release Monoliths on March 24th.
The Minneapolis-raised artist spent almost four years working on the album, during a period where his releases slowed to a trickle. Monoliths will cinch Zahn's relationship with Drumcode after releasing a handful of EPs with the Swedish techno label over the years. Going with the imprint's ethos, Zahn himself describes the record as "a full-on techno album that sums up Dustin Zahn so far," avoiding what he calls the "mediocre 'listening' tracks" in favour of straight-up club bangers. He also says that the hardware-heavy LP is darker than most of his past work and more industrial-leaning, especially influenced by the cold winter in Berlin.
Zahn is also releasing a new EP (pictured at right) called New Day Rising, his first full solo release since 2010, this week on his own Enemy Records.
