  • Berlin Atonal has confirmed the dates for its 2014 edition. Last summer was the first time since 1990 that the experimental-tinged electronic music showcase, originally spearheaded by Tresor's Dimitri Hegemann, had been staged. It saw an array of left-of-center, cutting-edge electronic acts—like Raime, Voices From The Lake and Vatican Shadow—performing in the massive Kraftwerk Berlin space above Tresor. The organizers haven't made any announcements about the lineup yet, but they've confirmed that the festival is on for another year at the same location, and they've posted the dates—July 24th through 27th—to the festival's website. We expect more information about the lineup to come in the next few months. In the run-up to this year's main event, Berlin Atonal will take the show to Amsterdam. On Thursday, February 27th at Trouw, they'll present the Moritz Von Oswald Trio, which currently features Max Loderbauer and legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen.
