Sound Pellegrino's second label compilation is due out on January 27th.
As FACT report, the Crossover Series selection comprises ten collaborations. Crystal and Ikonika hook up for "Dream Incubation" (that one is currently streaming on SoundCloud), while Dutch electro head Dexter and Gant-Man partner on "Ur Booty Soft." Label co-founders Teki Latex and Orgasmic both feature—the former in collaboration with Eero Johannes and the latter with Ed Banger stalwart Feadz—while established producers Truncate and Hrdvsion are paired with TWR72 and Helix respectively.
Teki Latex says the compilation rails against the emergence of niche micro-genres in dance music. "We have nothing against keeping micro-genres pure and visions unaltered: we are music lovers and humble specialists," he says. "But we also do love mixing things up and finding unexpected common threads between styles because guess what? That’s what DJs do."
