  • Moogfest has revealed full details of its 2014 edition, taking place from April 23rd through 27th in Asheville. The festival took a year out in 2013 due to a switch in partnership deals, which saw it move from AC Entertainment to dance specialists Paxahau. Returning to North Carolina for 2014, the five-day event will feature talks, conferences, workshops, film screenings, panels and presentations from leading industry professionals across eight venues, as well as a full programme of nighttime entertainment. Chic and Kraftwerk have been billed as headliners, with the German four-piece set to perform three 3D concerts in two days. The likes of Laurie Anderson and Giorgio Moroder are set for appearances, alongside Daedelus, The Gaslamp Killer and Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks. UK outfit Darkstar have been confirmed for a rare US appearance, with Art Department, Sasha, Green Velvet and Soul Clap offering more club-centric fare. The music will take place across ten venues in downtown Asheville, running from 7 PM through 2 AM Wednesday to Saturday, and 3 PM through 6 PM on Sunday. Moogfest was started in 2004 to pay homage to late American synth pioneer Bob Moog.
