  • New York institution The Bunker will throw their 11-year anniversary party at Output on Saturday, January 4th. This year has seen The Bunker move their monthly base in Brooklyn from Public Assembly to Output, while continuing to present shows focused on rare and unique bookings—like the eight-hour collaborative session between Mathew Jonson, Hrdvsion and resident Derek Plaslaiko just a few days ago. 2014 looks to be even busier than usual, thanks to a new label, The Bunker New York, and the relaunch of The Bunker Limited—that more intimate series will take place at a brand-new venue, Trans Pecos, starting with a NYE event that will host live sets from Chris Madak, AKA Bee Mask, and Mark Verbos. To celebrate eleven years in business on January 4th, The Bunker will bring back to town some longtime party favorites and repeat guests. Appearing in Output are techno veterans Silent Servant and Regis, who started the Jealous God imprint alongside James Ruskin in 2013. Silent Servant is slotted in for a rare live hardware set (and stateside gigs for Regis are generally pretty scarce), and support in that room will come from The Bunker's boss Bryan Kasenic (previously known as Spinoza) and fellow resident Mike Servito. Meanwhile, The Panther Room will feature sets from Berlin-based acts Heartthrob and Mr. Ties. Heartthrob, who recently started his own label ISNISNT, will be making his first appearance at The Bunker in more than five years. Mr. Ties, whose Homopatik parties have caused quite a stir in Berlin, will be linking up again with The Bunker following his North American debut in July, and closing out this one with a four-hour set. Brooklyn duo Wrecked, AKA Ryan Smith and Ron Like Hell, recent regulars at the party, complete the night's lineup. Our oral history on The Bunker from back in January should serve as a good primer on the party. Tickets to the NYE event, along with the anniversary bash just a few days later, are available on RA.
