- The bass producer will release his second album in February next year.
Addison Groove will return to 50 Weapons with a new album in February 2014.
The new record features collaborations with Sam Binga, MC DRS, DJ Die and vocalist Josefina. The producer, real name Antony Williams, says the collaboration with Josefina came after a discussion with fellow Bristol artist Appleblim ("She'd been our mate for years and yet no one really knew she could sing," Williams says). In the album's press notes he also credits Binga as a key reason behind the increase in the tempo of his productions in recent years, along with juke artists DJ Rashad and Spinn.
The album will arrive roughly two years on from Williams's first LP, Transistor Rhythm. As with that album, Addison Groove Presents James Grieve will see release on Modeselektor's 50 Weapons label. "While Transistor Rhythm was definitely Chicago inspired," a press release says, "Addison Groove Presents James Grieve is pure Bristol through-and-through." It will be presented on CD, digital and double-vinyl formats.
