- After several collaborative EPs and years of DJing together, the two artists have started their own label.
Prosumer and Murat Tepeli have revealed details of their new record label, Potion.
The two artists have a professional relationship that stretches back to a 2005 collaboration on Playhouse called On A Ride. They've also put out a string of collaborative releases on Ostgut Ton and regularly DJ together. Now, the duo say they "have decided to have a baby: Potion." They add: "Both parents' musical DNA is observable in their lovechild and they have set out to raise the kid to their best abilities." News of the label first hit when Prosumer discussed it with Tim Sweeney on a Beats In Space radio show in late 2013.
Potion will be an outlet for Prosumer and Tepeli's own music as well as that of others. First up is an EP from Tepeli called Drop It Like It's Hot. Set for release on November 3rd, the record showcases the producer's "love for bass and what he considers fun on the dance floor." That'll be followed by a 12-inch from Copenhagen outfit Wilma.
