A new label called Adelaide Soundworks will launch with an EP from L.I.E.S. affiliate TX Connect, due out in early 2014.
The label has been founded by Simon Jakubowski and Jeremy Plawecki, who are based in Adelaide, South Australia, home to artists like DJ HMC and The Carter Bros. From the looks of it, they'll look to tap into the fertile global network of producers currently making lo-fi house and techno. Their first record, You Too, comes from Dallas producer TX Connect, who has appeared on spilt releases on L.I.E.S. and Dixon Avenue Basement Jams in 2013. (Clips of all three tracks are streaming on the Adelaide Soundworks SoundCloud page). That will be followed be a second release from Opal Tapes artist DJ Ford Foster, who has turned in a six-track EP of raw ghetto house.
