Numbers holds tenth anniversary parties

- The Scottish label is celebrating a decade in business with gigs in NYC, London and Glasgow.
- Numbers is marking ten years with a series of events in NYC, London and Glasgow. Originally started as a club night in Glasgow, Numbers has grown in size, scope and domain over the past year—most notably it became a label in 2010, the conglomeration of local crews Dress 2 Sweat, Wireblock and Stuffrecords. Headed up by Jackmaster, Richard Chater, Calum Morton (who DJs as Spencer), Neil Morton, Rob Mordue and Adam Rodgers, they've become a force to be reckoned with, counting the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Rustie and Deadboy in their midst. The first party will take place at a secret location in Brooklyn on November 29th, headlined by Jackmaster and Spencer. It's the first-ever Numbers event in New York (a collaboration with Rinsed) and they'll be joined by ghetto tech master DJ Deeon, Detroit techno luminary Anthony Shake Shakir as well as locals Dan Wender and Blacky II. A week later on December 7th, Jack and Spencer will head to a warehouse in London for the next party, a team-up with Black Atlantic. This time, Hudson Mohawke (a one-time Warp signee and now producer for the likes of Kanye West, Pusha T and Drake), Glaswegian DJs Optimo and Numbers funkateer Redinho are all billed, plus surprise special guests. Finally, on December 13th the crew will make a homecoming with the third and final show in Glasgow, again taking place at a secret location. Mohawke, Jackmaster and Spencer are the only artists announced for that one so far.
