Richie Hawtin tops the bill at Madrid Winter Festival

- Madrid Winter Festival has announced details of its inaugural event, taking place on Wednesday, January 1st. Located in the town of Moralzarzal, which lies roughly 40 minutes northeast of the Spanish city, the 15-hour party will run from 3 PM through 6 AM. Making the short journey from a NYE Minus showcase in Milan, Richie Hawtin will headline the event, with Loco Dice, Paul Kalkbrenner, 2ManyDJs, Chris Liebing and Scuba also booked. Following the deaths of three girls at a Steve Aoki gig in the capital last Halloween, only 9,000 tickets will be sold for Madrid Winter Festival, despite La Cubierta de Moralzarzal's reported 10,000-person capacity.
