  • Raíz and Subversive of LA's Droid Behavior crew have revealed details of a new label called VRV. Droid is one of LA's premiere techno parties and promoters, hosting regular nights around the city, including the Thursday night Prime series. They've already had their own Droid Recordings imprint for a while, but VRV has a different focus: it will cater to conceptual or thematic works instead of dance floor tools. The first release is a four-tracker from Raíz himself called CORED, which a press release describes as "aggressive, essential techno." The vinyl will land around December 4th, with the digital landing two weeks later. The crew will hold a release party in LA on November 30th that also doubles as an 11th anniversary bash. It'll be headlined by Drumcell (who released an album for CLR earlier this year), Truncate and the two VRV bosses, as well as Dean Paul and Derek Michael. It will take place at Mount Analogue, and RSVPing ahead of time is recommended. Tickets are available on RA. Tracklist 01. Cored 1 02. Cored 2 03. Cored 3 04. Cored 4 VRV will release CORED on December 4th, 2013.
