  • Amsterdam label and party Dekmantel will celebrate seven years of operation with a 5,000-person event in March. Dekmantel has been one of the best labels to emerge from Amsterdam's bustling house and techno scene in recent years. While they've mostly hosted the work of Dutch artists (San Proper and Makam, for example) you'll find contributions from internationals like Marcel Dettmann and Skudge in its catalogue. Unsurprisingly, then, the upcoming anniversary celebration will be a global affair, with a mixture of US, German and local acts confirmed. Carl Craig, Moodymann and Dopplereffekt will represent Detroit, while Henrik Schwarz and DJ Koze are the festival's two German representatives. UK selectors Boddika, Joy Orbison and Ben UFO have also been billed, with home grown acts Steffi, Tom Trago and the Dekmantel Soundsystem set to fly the Dutch flag. The anniversary will take place at Art Gallery Taets, an arts space and events park in Zaandam, located roughly 15km north-west of Amsterdam. It kicks off at 3 PM on March 1st and carries on for 12 hours.
