  • Part of the lineup has been revealed for CTM Festival 2014, taking place at various venues around Berlin from January 24th through February 2nd. Each year, CTM brings together an assorted cast of experimental electronic music artists for a number of performances, talks, screenings and workshops. Its next edition will carry the theme Dis Continuity, and will "zoom in on a range of musical pioneers whose curiosity and pursuit of new, idiosyncratic forms have kept them off the radar." Around 20 names have been announced so far, with James Holden, an Opal Tapes crew that includes Basic House, Karen Gwyer and 1991, and an appearance from industrial techno pioneers Porter Ricks among the highlights. The programme splits into day and night. Kreuzberg's Kunstquartier Bethanien will host much of the festival's daytime activities (panels, lectures and presentations), while the nighttime concert series will be held across HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Berghain, Stattbad, Astra and Haus der Kulturen der Welt.
