  • Heatsick and Container will both head to Australia this November. Before embarking on their respective tours, they touch down in Sydney for Sound Summit 2013, a four-day festival of presentations, panels and performances held across a number of venues in Marrickville from November 7th to 10th. Along with Goethe-Institut's night with Container and glitch pioneer Oval at Red Rattler Theatre on the 8th and Heatsick's show, presented by local imprint Hunter-Gatherer at Marrickville Bowling Club on the 9th, the festival's program also features a vast selection of international and homegrown electronic artists including Asger Jorn, Angel Eyes, Marco Fusinato, James Walsh and Gareth Psaltis. Head over to the Sound Summit website for full details. A few weeks ahead of the scheduled release of his next album, Re-Engineering, Heatsick will then head off a trio of solo shows beginning with a set at the Fox Hotel in Brisbane for 4ZZZ's Bastard Theatre on November 14th, followed by a performance at Perth's Connections Nightclub with Panorama Bar resident Tama Sumo on the 15th. His third and final gig will be hosted by Kakkle Tapes at Boney in Melbourne on November 16th. Other states will also get the opportunity to catch some of Spectrum Spools artist Container's noisy techno across four dates, starting off with an appearance at Velvet Lounge in Perth on November 9th. He makes a stop in Canberra on the 12th before popping down to Melbourne to play two shows, one on the 14th at The Gasometer with Dead Boomers and again Angel Eyes, and one on the 15th at The Tote with Matthew Brown and Lakes.
