  • The Warehouse Project will not hold a full party series in 2014. Having held regular winter events for the past eight years, organisers say next year's programming will only feature a "handful of special events." They say they will return with a full-scale season in 2015, when The Warehouse Project will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The series had a troubled start to 2013—last month one partygoer died as a result of taking bad drugs at the party. Soon after organisers revealed plans of a new drug-testing initiative, which began this month. "Since 2006 when it all started we've had the privilege of booking almost everyone that we wanted to be part of The Warehouse Project," says WHP director Sam Kandel. "This season especially, the programme is totally beyond where we ever expected it could go. WHP has always been about not standing still and has kept that idea at the forefront." He added: "We do have exciting plans for 2014 that should continue that ethos and at the same time it feels like the right moment to perhaps do fewer WHP events and take a break from the current format. Reaching the tenth season in 2015 will be a landmark moment for WHP but of course we have some things in the pipeline before we get to that." Organisers also revealed details on the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day events. The NYE event features Andy C, Tiga, Sasha, James Zabiela and Tensnake, while the January 1st bash has the likes of Jamie Jones, Carl Craig, Maceo Plex and a host of back-to-back sets including Dixon vs. Âme and Ben UFO vs. Joy Orbison.
