Shed soundtracks Nosferatu at Berghain

- The producer will play a live set to accompany a screening of a German Expressionist horror film from the 1920s.
- Rene Pawlowitz will provide a live soundtrack as Shed to cult German horror film Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror in English) at Berghain on November 27th. Nosferatu is one of the most respected films to emerge from the German Expressionist movement of the early 20th Century. Directed by F. W. Murnau, a hugely influential silent film maker, the 1922 movie was an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, and had all but one copy destroyed after Stoker's family sued its makers for copyright infringement. It's since become a favourite in Germany, and will be given a new soundtrack by Pawlowitz as part of Berghain's Kino im Elektroakustischen Salon series. The Wednesday night event will kick off at midnight and have a four-hour runtime, with DJ sets from support acts Anstam and Finn Johannsen also confirmed.
