- From Jaydee to James Blake, the venerable label will mark three decades in the game with a best-of selection.
R&S Records has outlined details of a digital-only compilation called 30 Years Of R&S Records.
Due for release on October 21st, the selection comprises material from the UK-via-Belgium label's three decades in the game. It features most of the tracks that made R&S a pioneering force in the '90s—Jaydee's "Plastic Dreams," "Energy Flash" by Joey Beltram and Outlander's "Vamp" among others—alongside the new school of producers like James Blake, Blawan, Pariah and Lone, who have been on the scene since the label's rebirth in the 2000s. The 30-track collection also features material from R&S's long-running Apollo sublabel, such as Aphex Twin's "Xtal" from Selected Ambient Works 85-92.
