- Synkro and Indigo's full-length will arrive on the fabric-affiliated label next month.
Akkord will release their self-titled debut album through Houndstooth on November 25th.
Though it started life as an anonymous collective, Akkord is now the project of Manchester producers Synkro and Indigo. The pair's interest in maths and geometry seeps into their music and visual aesthetic—a style that was explored on their RA podcast earlier this year. After a couple of self-released 12-inches in 2012, they joined the Houndstooth stable this year with the Navigate EP.
Their debut album is described in a press release as a blend of "junglist revivalism, smoky ambience, and suctioned dub." Like Navigate, it'll come out through Houndstooth, the fabric-affiliated label that's burst out of the gates in its debut year, releasing a string of EPs and albums from the likes of Call Super, Special Request, House Of Black Lanterns and Snow Ghosts.
With a big of digging, you'll be able to find a video for album track "Undertow" over on the Akkord website. Previews of each track on the record will be leaked week-by-week in the lead-up to the full release next month.
