- Ron Morelli's label has announced its next two releases, due out in November.
L.I.E.S. has revealed details of its next two releases: a conceptual O.S.T. by KWC 92 and a new EP from Legowelt.
Due out in November, Legowelt's Teen Romance is the Dutchman's first full solo outing on L.I.E.S. since 2011's Sark Island Acid EP, though since then he's appeared on the American Noise compilation and as one half of surfer house duo Trackman Lafonte & Bonquiqui. This new record is described in a press release as "three floor ready cuts full of soul, deepness, wooly basslines, beating drums and those signature Legowelt melodies." The sleeve has been designed by The Trilogy Tapes head Will Bankhead.
The other release comes from KWC 92, AKA Samo DJ and Max Stenerudh, whose Dream Of The Walled City is billed as a soundtrack to a movie set in Kowloon's Walled City, a densely populated, ungoverned area that was demolished by authorities in 1993. It's not the first time Ron Morelli's label has dabbled in conceptual soundtrack work—last year Jorge Velez released an O.S.T. inspired by the 15th Century Cult Of Assassins.
