  • London party Durrr will host its final party on Saturday, November 9th. Guided by resident DJs Rory Phillips and The Lovely Jonjo, Durrr started out as a Monday night party at The End, which closed in 2009. Much like its parent clubnight Trash, it tapped into the anything-goes policy of the electroclash era—a press release recalls highlights such as "a debut show from Lykke Li delivered standing atop the DJ console, Dan Deacon transforming the main room of The End into a conga tunnel, a fresh faced Brodinski sipping his rider of lemon Fanta between records, an early UK appearance from A-Trak, Micachu's Hoover solo, Simian Mobile Disco's dazzling live show, secret shows from Soulwax and Franz Ferdinand, Boys Noize backed by an original air raid siren... and all of this on a Monday night for a fiver." After The End closed, Durrr became a roving party, hosting events in the US and France, as well as London venues like fabric and Village Underground. Their final party will go down at XOYO, with Todd Terje on headline duties. Klaxons and Mystery Jets have also been called on for DJ sets, with Rory Phillips—who will debut his new live show—The Lovely Jonjo and some unannounced special guests rounding out the bill. Tickets to the party are available here on RA.
