  • Raime will play their first-ever shows in the US over the next month. The UK producers—who're fixtures on Blackest Ever Black, the label which launched with their first EP back in 2010, and which issued their debut LP late last year—will unfurl their gloomy, experimentally-tinged soundscapes for new audiences with six audio-visual performances. First up are a couple gigs this week in California. Their US debut, hosted by Mount Analog and Soldier's Disease, will take place tomorrow night at Dilettante Gallery in Los Angeles (where power electronics purveyor Pharmakon is also confirmed). Then on Saturday, they'll play for Body/Current and 120 Minutes at Balancoire in San Francisco. Four festival appearances round out the rest of Raime's schedule on this side of the Atlantic. This Sunday, they're billed for a Decibel event in Seattle alongside Oren Ambarchi and The Sight Below. VIA in Pittsburgh will follow, with the duo dropping into town for a set next Wednesday, before they head south of the border to play MUTEK.MX in Mexico City next Sunday. Lastly, after a London showcase of Blackest Ever Black in mid-October, Raime will return to the US to play the new Mountain Oasis Music Summit in Asheville, North Carolina, on Saturday the 26th.
