- News From Nowhere will get re-interpreted by Motor City Drum Ensemble and Zomby across two EPs.
Darkstar will release two remix EPs this fall, with the first hitting October 14th.
The UK band are having a good 2013 so far, dropping their Warp debut News From Nowhere and touring pretty steadily off the back of it for the rest of the year. We described the songs on that record—continuing their psychedelic rock-oriented sound—as "resplendent, Grizzly Bear-esque serenades," and now it'll get the remix treatment.
The first EP, 01484, will feature two rhythm-oriented reworks of "Armonica" and "Young Hearts" from Darkstar themselves, while German producer and DJ Motor City Drum Ensemble takes on "A Day's Pay For A Day's Work." The HD7 EP, to be released later on in the year, will host yet more re-interpretations from the band and an effort from Zomby, though exactly which tracks (and a fixed date) is still uncertain right now.
