  • Concrete Music has announced its next two EPs. The label was started last year as the release arm of the popular Paris afterparty series, as profiled in our Real Scenes feature film about the city. So far they've put out a few various artists EPs and turns from Antigone, Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff. The next two missives will feature established artists under aliases. First up is American Amir Alexander under the Guerilla Soul guise—you might know the deep house producer from his recent spate of 12-inches on Argot and Hype LTD (among others). The Black Dahlia EP is apparently inspired by the infamous unsolved murder case of Elizabeth Short in the 1940s, with two variations on the title track full of "deep, dark, moody and emotive vibrations." There will be a party with Alexander at Rex Club in Paris to mark the release date, September 12th. In October, a self-titled new EP from Jesper Dahlbäck under the name The Persuader will follow, with a remix from Cabanne. It's his first as The Persuader in over 10 years, and his decision to return to the alias was profiled in July for an article on the Trouw Amsterdam blog. The tracklist on that one is still forthcoming. Tracklist Guerilla Soul - Black Dahlia EP A Black Dahlia (Cool Blood Dub Mix) B Black Dahlia Concrete Music will release Black Dahlia on September 12th, 2013 and The Persuader in October 2013.
